How do I connect Cursor, Windsurf or another MCP tool to Projul?

Add Projul as an MCP server in your tool using its address and your API key, then ask it a test question.

Set it up

  1. Get a Read or Read-Write API key. See How do I get my Projul AI Connect API key?
  2. Open your tool's MCP settings, such as "MCP" in Cursor or "MCP servers" in Windsurf, or the mcp.json file it points you to.
  3. Add a server named "projul" with the address and header below.
{
 "mcpServers": {
 "projul": {
 "url": "https://connect.projul.com/mcp",
 "headers": {
 "Authorization": "Bearer prjl_live_YOURKEYHERE"
 }
 }
 }
}

VS Code uses "servers" instead of "mcpServers"; Gemini CLI uses "httpUrl" instead of "url".

What happens

Ask your tool something only Projul can answer, such as "What clients do I have in Projul?" If it answers correctly, you're connected. If not, check the header for a typo or a missing "Bearer".

Note: Windsurf allows 100 MCP tools total, and Projul publishes more than 75, so turn off tools you don't need if others are connected.
