How do I have my AI build an electrical estimate?
Describe the job like you would brief an estimator, and your AI builds the estimate in Projul, priced from your costs and markup.
Say this
Build an estimate in Projul for [Whitaker 200A Service Upgrade]. Four sections. Permits and utility coordination: [electrical permit, $175, no markup, not taxable] and [2] hours of coordination with the utility at [$58]/hr plus [40]%. Service and panel: [200A meter main combination panel, 1 ea at $685] plus [25]%, [4/0 SER cable, 20 lf at $9.40] plus [25]%, [two ground rods and #6 bare copper, 1 lot at $95] plus [25]%, [breakers, 16 ea at $12] plus [25]%, [16] hours of journeyman labor at [$58] plus [40]%, and [16] hours of apprentice labor at [$34] plus [40]%. Circuit transfer and labeling: [wire, connectors and whips, 1 lot at $140] plus [25]% and [6] hours of journeyman labor at [$58] plus [40]%. EV charger circuit: [50A two-pole GFCI breaker, 1 ea at $145] plus [25]%, [6/3 NM-B, 45 lf at $4.10] plus [25]%, [NEMA 14-50 receptacle, box and cover, 1 ea at $62] plus [25]%, and [5] hours of journeyman labor at [$58] plus [40]%. Apply our [Utah] sales tax and tell me the estimate number and the total.
Your AI needs a project to hold the estimate; if there isn't one, ask it to create the lead first. One estimate per project, so on a second request it offers to edit the existing one or add a change order.
What happens
Your AI checks with you at each step, then reports the estimate number and total. It lands as a Draft in "Estimates" in Projul, with each section's subtotal on the card.

Note: Your AI builds and edits the Draft; publishing, sending and invoicing stay with you in Projul.
